Every Archie and Lilibet Reference in ‘With Love, Meghan’ Season 2

Motherhood was always in the cards for Meghan Markle.

“I always wanted to be a mom,” Meghan, 44, told With Love, Meghan guest Tan France during the Netflix show’s second season. “I would save my allowance and I’d go to Kmart and buy a real diaper bag.”

She added, “I was like, ‘I don’t want the kid version of it. I don’t want the pretend version of it. I want a real diaper bag that a mom would have to take care of my doll.’ I just always wanted to be a mom.”

Meghan and husband Prince Harry share two kids, son Archie, 6, and daughter Lilibet, 4.

“I love it,” the Duchess of Sussex said about parenting. “It’s better than I even expected.”

More Pets?

Episode 2 featured a scene with Meghan telling guest Chrissy Teigen (who has two hairless cats) that Archie and Lili “really want a cat.”

However, Harry and Meghan are famously dog owners. Her late pup, Guy, who died in January, makes multiple appearances in the show filmed in 2024.

A Relatable Mom Moment

The show’s third episode featured a lot of parenting talk with France. The Queer Eye star brought a loaf of bread made by his husband, Rob France, which led into a conversation about their children. (Tan and Rob share sons Ismail, 4, and Isaac, 2.)

“It’s a really complicated bread,” Tan said, noting that his husband “doesn’t” have that much time to make it. “In between a freak-out from a kid, he will go and instead of screaming into a corner [will make bread].”

Meghan referred to it as “his moving meditation” before sharing her own tactic.

“For me, that’s a glass of wine,” she said. “Or some yoga, maybe.”

Their Food Preferences

Lili loves when Meghan adds chia seeds to her pancakes. “‘I want it to have freckles,’” the duchess recalled her daughter saying.

Archie, meanwhile, is big on compliments — especially when it comes to Meghan’s “presentation” of their food.

“Archie will say, ‘Oh, mama, that looks beautiful,’” she said.

Lili’s Favorite Color

“There’s a lot of pink in my house,” Meghan said while chatting with Tan in episode 3. “Oh, my gosh, Lili loves pink.”

The duo decorated aprons for their kids and Meghan decided to “stay in a world of ombré pinks” and “call it a day.”

Sweet Baby Boy Archie

Meghan referred to her eldest son as “the most tender, sweet adorable child of all time” while chatting with Tan.

Never Being Apart

Meghan revealed that the “longest” she has been away from Archie and Lili was “almost three weeks” and she was “not well.”

Pregnancy Foods — But Not Cravings

“My Ayurvedic doctor made me eat so many dates while I was pregnant,” Meghan said during episode 4. “So many dates.”

Using Spices for More Than Cooking

“When Archie was born, I remember when he would have, like, his belly hurts, she’s like, ‘Take a little bit of Hing and put it on his belly button,’” Meghan said to episode 5 guest Jay Shetty about his wife, Radhi Devlukia. “To this day, I’m like, ‘Just get a little bit of Hing.’”

Fun In the Kitchen

When making vegan coconut macaroons, Meghan noted that her “kids would love” dunking the sweet treat into chocolate to top them off.

Their British Roots

Meghan noted during episode 6 that her kids “will say a little bit of both” British and American words interchangeably, but “never cooking terms” because Harry isn’t the cook in their house.

“They both say zeb-rah, though, instead of zebra” she said.

How Big Is Lili Now?

At the time of filming season 2, Meghan revealed that Lili was “about 35 pounds.”

They Love a Sweet Treat

Meghan made raspberry thumbprint cookies for her friend Heather Dorak — but gave a few to her own kids.

“I’ve been putting them in our kids’ lunchboxes for the past week and they’re like, ‘Can we have another thumbprint cookie?’” she shared.

Getting Ready for the Kids to Grow Up

“I have to prepare myself,” Meghan said in the season finale. “The kids are only 3 and 5 and I’m already like, ‘No, no, don’t cry,’” she said.
