Why Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis’ Marriage ‘Is Going to Last’ After Scandal

Despite ups and downs in the public eye, Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis’ marriage has stayed strong.

The couple have long preferred to keep their love story out of the spotlight, and now, as both stars return to the screen with buzzy projects, an insider reveals that their relationship remains “pretty solid.”

“They’ve been through so much,” a source exclusively shares in the latest issue of Us Weekly. “Their marriage is going to last.”

Kutcher, 48, and Kunis, 42, took a step back from the public eye in recent years after they faced backlash for supporting their That ‘70s Show costar Danny Masterson, who was convicted of raping two women in 2023.

The insider tells Us the pair “leaned on each other” heavily amid the fallout from the scandal, and remained focused on their family.

Describing the pair of actors — who share daughter Wyatt, 11, and son Dimitri, 9 — as “welcoming, inviting and loving,” the source adds: “They are on the same page about all the important things, especially when it comes to their kids. Mila was so happy when they found their way back to each other.”

Four women claimed in March 2017 that Masterson, 49, sexually assaulted them in the early 2000s. A fifth woman came forward in December 2017, claiming that while she was dating the actor, he “repeatedly raped” her. In September 2023, he was handed a 30-year prison sentence.

During Masteron’s trial, Kunis and Kutcher submitted letters to the judge praising their former costar’s “exceptional character.” When these letters went public, there was immediate backlash.

“We are aware of the pain that has been caused by the character letters that we wrote on behalf of Danny Masterson,” Kutcher said in a September 2023 apology video alongside Kunis. “They were intended for the judge to read and not to undermine the testimony of the victims or re-traumatize them in any way.”

Following their apology, the couple laid low until Kunis made a splash in December 2025 with her role in the latest installment of Knives Out, Wake Up Dead Man, alongside an all-star cast including Daniel Craig, Josh O’Connor, Glenn Close, Josh Brolin, Jeremy Renner and Kerry Washington.

Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis' Complete Relationship Timeline

For his part, Kutcher returned to TV with a leading role on Ryan Murphy’s The Beauty, his first acting gig in three years.

Kunis and Kutcher first met in 1998 on the set of their hit comedy series, That ‘70s Show, which costarred Masterson, Wilmer Valderrama, Topher Grace and Laura Prepon.

Kunis was only 14 when she began filming the show, and she admitted to Jay Leno in 2012 that she lied to the producers about her age to score the part of Jackie.

“Legally, I was 14, but I told them I was a little bit older,” she said. “I told them I was gonna be 18, which is not technically a lie, cause at one point … I was gonna be 18.”

Kunis and Kutcher developed a friendship behind the scenes of the show, but shortly after Kutcher’s separation from Demi Moore in 2011, things turned romantic between him and his former costar. The pair tied the knot in July 2015.
